GRIMES CO. MAN ARRESTED ON WEAPONS CHARGE

  

A Grimes County man was charged with 9 counts of prohibited explosive weapons in Plantersville.

32-year-old Christopher Cody Urbanosky was arrested last week as part of an ongoing investigation involving explosives being possessed, manufactured, and sold in the area.  The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office was contacted a day earlier, regarding a suspicious device on the property near Urbanosky’s residence.

The following investigation by Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, including various other agencies, led authorities to identify the device as an explosive weapon.  Nine additional explosive weapons were located in the area, and rendered safe.  Urbanosky was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.
