GRIMES CO. MAN SENTENCED ON GUN CHARGE
A Plantersville man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after his conviction in August.
30-year old John Michael Bell was sentenced for a previous conviction of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. He was found guilty by a Brazos County jury back in August.
Bell was arrested on December of last year after police found him hiding inside the bed of a parked pickup truck outside of a Brazos County home.
Police found a loaded Glock pistol a few feet away from Bell when he was found.
Bell had been released from prison for less than a year when he was arrested.
Bell was sentenced to three years in prison in for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle back in 2013. He had also been sentenced to prison for Burglary of a Building and possessing a deadly weapon inside a corrections facility.
