GRIMES COUNTY FAIR PREMIER AUCTION RESULTS

  

There was a great turnout for the premier auction at the Grimes County Fair last (Thursday) night as buyers supported the youth of Grimes County.

Steven Gooch of the Iola (i-ola) FFA brought the highest bid in with his Grand Champion Steer, which sold for $6,000 to the Cowan Foundation

.Kamryn Bevel Anderson of the Shiro FFA sold her Grand Champion Swine for $3,000 to Texas Farm Bureau.

Landry Cunningham of Iola FFA sold his Grand Champion Lamb & Goat to Washington County Tractor for $2,250.

Rylee Goodney, also of Iola FFA sold her Grand Champion Turkey for $2,000 to Grimes County Steel and Coufal Prater.

Along with the auction, a large amount of scholarships were handed out just after the buyer’s dinner.Congratulations to the students, scholarship recipients, and auction winners.
