GRIMES COUNTY TO CONTINUE COUNTYWIDE POLLING PLACES

Grimes County will be able to keep their countywide polling places after receiving a letter from the Secretary of State certifying the polling places as successful.

The Navasota Examiner reports the letter deemed Grimes County eligible to continue holding elections using countywide precinct polling places- a system they used during the November general election.

This means residents are able to vote at any of the polling locations in the county, not just in their precinct. County officials note the designation makes it easier on voters and the county could see savings long term if they choose to consolidate some of the precincts.
