H-E-B PRESENTS FIREWORKS ON THE BRAZOS ON THE FOURTH

  

Once again, H-E-B is sponsoring Fireworks on the Brazos, the Fourth of July at Washington-on-the-Brazos.

The celebration at the birthplace of Texas begins at 10:00 a.m. on Monday the 4th of July.

The day included tours of Independence Hall, old-fashioned period baseball games, kid's crafts at the Visitor's Center, period games such as: sack races, pig bladder toss and egg on spoon races; black powder rifle demonstrations; and living history displays at the Barrington Living History Farm.  The Gift Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Food and craft vendors will offer a variety of items for sale throughout the event.

Monday evening includes a free concert by the Cody Bryan Band from 7 to 9 p.m. in the park’s amphitheater, followed by the massive fireworks extravaganza with choreographed patriotic music broadcast on KTEX-106 at approximately 9:30 p.m.  KTEX-106 will have live reports from the park.

Buses will run constantly from 1 to 10 p.m. to shuttle guests to the different areas of the park, at no charge.

Visitors can bring picnics, blankets, lawn chairs and flashlights. State park rules apply; alcohol is prohibited.
