HALL TRIAL TO CONTINUE PUNISHMENT PHASE TODAY

  

The punishment phase of the trial of convicted killer Gabriel Hall will continue at the Brazos County Courthouse on Wednesday.

Both sides rested their case, and closing argument will resume today. Both sides will have 90 minutes to present their closing arguments, then giving the case over to the jury, which will be sequestered if a decision is not reached.

Hall has been convicted of shooting and stabbing to death Texas A&M professor Edwin Shaar and stabbing his wife Linda in October 2011.

According to the Brazos County Auditor, the five week trial has cost most than a couple of million dollars, and the jurors have taken home more than $11,000 for the past month they have spent with the trial.
