A benefit block party is set for Sunday afternoon in downtown Brenham to help area residents hit hard by Hurricane Harvey.
The event will be held Sunday night from 5:00-to-9:00 p.m. in front of the 96 West Restaurant at 103 South Baylor St.
Organizers say the event will help raise money for victims of the hurricane in the local areas such as La Grange and Columbus who were affected by Harvey.
City officials are going to close South Baylor on the block in front of 95 West. There will be a live and silent auctions, food and drinks, and live music with The Blue Grooves.
Sponsors include: 96 West, Roux Street, Home Sweet Farm and B.T. Longhorn Saloon.
Organizers say 100-percent of the proceeds will benefit local victims of Hurricane Harvey.
