HEARING ON FORMER BRENHAM POLICE OFFICER DELAYED
A hearing of an appeal filed by a former Brenham Police Officer has been delayed.
Former officer Richard Bobbitt filed the appeal after his employment with the Brenham Police Department was terminated. Bobbitt was the subject of an internal investigation which showed that he used excessive force during an arrest in July and was subsequently fired.
The hearing before City Manager Terry Roberts was scheduled for next Wednesday, September 14th. The delay came from a request by attorneys representing Bobbitt and the City of Brenham.
Roberts says he expects the delay to be just a few days.
