HEARING THIS THURSDAY DISCUSSES POSSIBLE RELOCATION OF LA GRANGE VA OUTREACH CLINIC

  

According to the Department of Veteran Affairs, there will be a town meeting this Thursday to discuss the proposed relocation of the La Grange VA Outreach Clinic at 4pm.

While the Outreach Clinic is currently located in the city’s former Bon Ton restaurant building, the meeting will take place at the Fayette County Ag Building, which is located at 255 Svoboda Lane.

Christopher Sandles, the director of the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System will present a proposal to open a new VA-staffed clinic with expanded services, along with his executive leadership team. The press release from the VA did not specify where the new clinic would be located, however, and the location has been said to be revealed at the meeting.

Currently there are more than 1,700 veterans in the Fayette county area, and with the possibility looming of the Outreach Clinic being moved out of the county, veterans from the area are being encouraged to attend.
