UPDATED — HEAVY RAINS WEDNESDAY CAUSE CLOSURE OF COUNTY ROADS

  

Rainfall in Washington County has been much higher than originally forecast.

The rain gauge at the Brenham Water Plant recorded 6.2 inches in the past 24 hours.  More heavy rains fell throughout the night and early Thursday morning.

The Washington County Office of Emergency Management put out a list Wednesday afternoon of county roads that are closed due to high water.
