HEB ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED

A man suspected of robbing the Brenham HEB store, as well as HEB’s in Austin and Bastrop, has been arrested in Louisiana.

47-year old Jeremy Clarke Brock, was arrested by U.S. Marshalls after members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force determined he had fled to Lake Charles.

Authorities say they discovered Brock’s car parked at the Isle of Capri Casino and were able to track down which room he was staying in.

He was arrested without incident.

An arrest warrant was issued last week for Brock after authorities received an anonymous tip.

The Brenham robbery occurred Friday, August 22nd, when the robber passed a note demanding money to a customer service counter employee. The cashier said the man threatened her then took an undermined amount of money and fled in small dark-colored car.

The robbery in Austin occurred August 15th and the Bastrop robbery was August 26th.

Both of those robberies were nearly identical to the Brenham case.

Video at the Austin store showed Brock driving up in a car matching the one seen at the other H-E-B’s.  A neighbor also identified Brock as the man in the surveillance picture

  1. Thank God that they got him. Austin dubbed him the…the beer belly robber. He needed to be caught. Good work!
