A 28-year old Hempstead man is being charged with capital murder in the slaying of a Houston cab driver last Friday.
Jock Quinn Wilson was taken into custody Tuesday. He is accused of shooting 52-year old Donalvon Odell Rhyne in front of an apartment complex in southwest Houston Friday. The investigation found the shooting happened during a robbery. The United Taxi Cab driver had dropped someone off when two men approached the driver and tried to rob him. The suspect then ran away.
Police reports say Rhyne tried to fight back and was shot. Police were able to track Wilson to an apartment complex in Hempstead.
