HEMPSTEAD MAN SENTENCED TO JAIL FOR WASHINGTON CO. FORGERY

A Hempstead man has been sentenced to prison for his part in a counterfeiting ring.

26-year old Brian McDade was arrested by Washington County Sheriff’s deputies in June of 2015, after three others had been arrested on charges of counterfeiting.

McDade has been sentenced to three years in prison for a third degree felony of Forgery of a Government Instrument – Money.

Also sentenced by Judge Reva Towslee Corbett this week:

52-year old Gregory Lee Holbert of Brenham was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for felony Driving While Intoxicated.

Holbert was arrested in May of this year for at least the fourth time.

37-year old Eduardo Prado Martinez of Brenham was placed on five years’ probation for Driving While Intoxicated – Third Offense.

Martinez was also fined $5000, ordered to perform 240 hours of community service and have an interlock device placed on his vehicle.
