HENSLEY GETS NEW CONTRACT/NEW TITLE
The Blinn College Board of Trustees has extended District President/CEO Dr. Mary Hensley’s contract.
Hensley’s new contract runs through June of 2020.
Hensley’s title will also change; effective July 1, her title will become Chancellor of the Blinn College District. Blinn officials say this will reflect her role as chief executive of a 19,000-student, four-campus institution that will expand to five campuses with the opening of the RELLIS Campus facility in Fall 2018.
Board Chairman Charles Moser says, “…Hensley has made an historic impact upon Blinn College during her two years as District President/CEO, and has strengthened Blinn’s partnerships with Texas A&M University and The Texas A&M System.”
Also at Tuesday’s meeting:
The board adopted a resolution in recognition of the 150th anniversary of the Brenham Fire Department.
They also authorized the College to seek bids for equipment costs for the Fall 2018 opening of the RELLIS Campus.
Trustees also authorized the College to award contracts for over $261,000 for fitness equipment, furniture, and concessions equipment to be used in the Brenham Campus Kruse Center.
