HOMECOMING PARADE TONIGHT IN BRENHAM

  

Downtown Brenham is the place to be this (Wednesday) evening for the annual Brenham High School Homecoming Parade.

This year’s parade theme is “BHS is Creamin’ the Competition”, paying tribute to Blue Bell Creameries and the Cubs.  Floats will begin lining up on Main Street in downtown Brenham at 5 p.m. today (Wednesday), with the parade to start at 6:30.

Voting is taking place this week at Brenham High School for Homecoming King and Queen.  Ten boys and ten girls have been nominated for the honor.  The Queen nominees include Alexis Chaudron, Chelsie Chavez, Ke’auna Bimage, Kennedy Altman, Peyton Blalock, Ruth Ann Kettler, Robyn Gaertner, Devyn Hagemann and Destiny Morgan.  Nominees for Homecoming King are Eryk Preston, Cameron Jaster, Austin Derkowski, Jontavion Sweed, David Bennett, Brett Forland, Ryan Johnson, Jason Noor, Andrew Batchman and Adam Coker.

The Queen will be announced during a ceremony Friday night at halftime of the Brenham – Waller football game.  The King will be announced at the Homecoming dance following the game.

KWHI will broadcast tonight’s (Wednesday) Homecoming Parade through downtown Brenham beginning at 6:20, and sister station KTEX 106 will do live reports from the parade.  KWHI will also broadcast Friday’s Homecoming game beginning with the Pre-Game Show at 7:00 p.m.
