HOMES EVACUATED IN WILDFIRE NEAR HUNTSVILLE
Firefighters are battling a large wildfire that broke out Monday afternoon in Walker County.
The fire’s burning along FM 980, just outside of Huntsville. FM 2628 is closed to traffic at FM 980 and FM 247
According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, the North Side Wildfire has burned about 200 acres, and is threatening 50 homes.
Homes within a one mile radius are being evacuated.
