HOPKINS NAME NJCAA PLAYER OF THE WEEK

For the second time this season, a Blinn Buccaneer has been named the NJCAA Offensive Football Player of the Week.

Saturday, Blinn running back D’Anthony Hopkins ran for 369 yards and four touchdowns on 28 carries, in helping lead the Bucs to a 50-35 win over #3-ranked Tyler.  Hopkins averaged 13.4 yards per carry

Hopkins, a 6’2”, 220-pound, sophomore from Cuero, has rushed for 738 yards and 12 touchdowns in six games this season.

Former Brenham Cub running back Ernest Patterson was named NJCAA Offensive Player of the Week, for week-3.
