“HOTTER THAN HELL” 5K THIS SATURDAY

  

The Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Department is holding the “The Hotter than Hell” 5K fundraiser this Saturday.

The 5K will consist of a 3.1 mile run/walk. The route will start at Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Department and travel down the scenic Longpoint Road and back.

This 5K is a family oriented event, friendly to participants of all ages and activity levels. Melanie Lehde from the Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Department says that they will have some surpise guests stopping by:

The 5K begins at 8 a.m. with on-site registration at the fire department beginning at 7 a.m. Participants can also register online at Active.com.

Proceeds from this event will be used for fire department improvement projects, to enhance the training of volunteer firefighters, and to purchase new fire equipment and personal protective equipment gear for the firefighters.

The Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit organization that offers fire protection and search and rescue services to the Rocky Creek Community and Washington County.
