HOUSE FIRE NEAR COOKS POINT THURSDAY NIGHT

  

Firemen from Caldwell, Deanville and Cooks Point were unable to save a Burleson County home from fire Thursday night.

The unoccupied house in the 9600 block of County Road 343 near Cooks Point was completely engulfed in flames when firemen arrived at 7:30 Thursday evening. The house, and a car parked under a carport, were a total loss. No one was living in the house, although it was filled with furniture and other items. Cooks Point Volunteer Fire Department Chief Larry Oestrcil believes the fire was accidental.
