HOUSTON MAN ARRESTED IN BRENHAM IN STOLEN CAR
(Washington Co. Jail)
A Houston man faces charges after his arrest early this (Wednesday) morning.
Sergeant Joseph Merkley and Officer Jason Kasprowicz came upon a suspicious car parked at a closed business at 2135 HWY 290 West, just after 1:00 a.m.
The driver, 35-year old Darwin Marcus Yates of Houston, claimed he had a flat tire and no spare. Further investigation revealed the car was reported stolen out of Houston.
A search of the vehicle also turned up a small amount of marijuana.
Yates is charged with, Unauthorized use of Vehicle and Possession of Marijuana.
