HOUSTON MAN ARRESTED IN BRENHAM ON DRUG CHARGES

  

Update: - The Washington County District Attorneys Office reports that the case was reduced to a misdemeanor possession and transferred to County Court.  Watson pled guilty to the charge and received deferred adjudication probation.

Friday afternoon, Cpl. Seth Klehm conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of ST HWY 36 North.

Klehm say both occupants appeared nervous and had marijuana residue on their clothing.

A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana, Xanax tablets and promethazine.

The passenger, 21-year old William Watson of Houston, claimed ownership of all the narcotics.

Watson is charged with Manufacturing/Delivery controlled substance; possession of marijuana; and possession of a controlled substance.
