HOUSTON WOMAN SENTENCED IN BRENHAM COURT
A Houston woman has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of engaging in organized criminal activity.
20-year old Destiny Franshaw was sentenced in 21st District Court by Judge Carson Campbell.
The charge is a second-degree felony, committed in August of 2014. Franshaw was also ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution.
Also sentenced in District Court were:
27-year old James Eric Sandberg III of Austin, sentenced to five years in prison after his probation was revoked for a 2008 possession of a controlled substance conviction. Sandberg was also fined $621.
25-year old Adrian James Martinez of Round Rock, was sentenced to 12 months in a state jail after his probation was revoked for a 2012 conviction for possession of a controlled substance.
47-year old Danna Garcia of Somerville, was sentenced to 180 days in the Washington County jail for possession of a controlled substance.
17-year old James Dixon of Brenham, was placed on six years probation for injury to a child and assault of a family member/impeding breath or circulation. Both are third-degree felonies. Dixon was also fined $500 and ordered to perform 150 hours of community service.
26-year old Derrell Dion Johnson of Brenham, was placed on four years’ probation for assault of a family member/impeding breath or circulation. Johnson was also fined $1,500 and ordered to perform 150 hours of community service.
41-year old Hector Lozano of Brenham, was placed on four years’ probation for two counts of credit card abuse. Lozano was also fined $1,500 and ordered to perform 160 hours of community service.
21-year old Corey Wayne Watson of Mineral Wells was placed on three years’ probation for possession of a controlled substance. Watson was also fined $750 and ordered to perform 120 hours of community service.
