VIDEO – HUNDREDS ATTEND PRAYER VIGIL AT COURTHOUSE

Several hundred people turned out this morning for a prayer vigil for the Dallas Police Officers who were killed last week.  The group gathered around the gazebo at the Washington County Courthouse.  The event was organized by Rev. Randy Wells, director of Brenham’s Faith Mission.  Many law enforcement officers and first responders were in attendance as well as elected officials and civic leaders.  Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak and Brenham Police Chief Craig Goodman spoke before the prayers.  Both thanked the community for the overwhelming show of support.  Rev. Wells invited those in attendance to share on social media photos from the event with the hash-tag #washingtoncountytexassupportsdallaspd .

  1. Wonderful. How encouraging to see the community come together in this way. Wish we would have known about it. We will try to stay better in touch.
