Hundreds of young students explored the different exhibits Thursday evening during STEM Night at Brenham Elementary School.  Numerous stations were set up that featured interactive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) activities. The hands on displays were manned by volunteers from Brenham ISD as well as local organizations and clubs.  One popular area one sponsored by the Blinn College Biology Department and allowed students to view several small animals and even touch a Ball Python snake. A new feature this year was the Traveling Science Museum sponsored by the Texas Association of Minority Engineers from the University of Texas.  Visitors to STEM Night also got a chance to view the innovative art that was designed by students and made from recycled items.

(L to R) Victor Guerro, Mateo Vasquez, and Max Guerro explore the display from the Technology Department at Brenham ISD. They explained electrical conductivity and making circuits using Makey-Makey modules.
Aloria Gaskamp (L) and Alexis Thornton are amazed by the artwork made with recycled materials by students.
