HURRICANE HARVEY GAINING STRENGTH IN THE GULF

  

Hurricane Harvey is gaining strength in the Gulf and expected to make landfall on the Texas coast overnight Friday.   KWHI talked with Washington County Emergency Management Coordinator Bryan Ruemke about what we can expect over the next several days:

Ruemke said that Washington County EMS is planning on having all of their vehicles staffed will be staging some of them in Chappell Hill and Burton.  He also explained the preparations the Road and Bridge Department is making:

Local grocery stores were busy this (Thursday) afternoon with customers stocking up on water and other essentials. Ruemke explains what county residents should be doing to prepare for the Hurricane:
