ILLEGAL CHILD IMMIGRANTS COULD BE HELD IN BRYAN
A Bryan facility could be used to house illegal immigrant children.
The Bryan/College Station Eagle is reporting that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is considering the old Bryan Army Reserve building as a potential location to house unaccompanied immigrant children who have been caught illegally crossing the border.
The article reports that the City of Bryan had been looking to take possession of the building after the Army Reserve left the facility, but was informed through an email from the General Service Administration that the process was on hold until Health and Human Services made a decision in the next week.
Bryan City Secretary Mary Lynne Stratta told the Eagle that representatives with HHS have been visiting the property.
The 29,000-square-foot building on Carson Street was built in 1958 and housed the 420th Engineer Brigade of the U.S. Army Reserve until 2012, when it moved to a new center near Mumford Road.
Bryan Councilman Al Saenz, who was in favor of using the facility to house the children temporarily, said the building should have reverted back to the city two years ago.
U.S. Rep. Bill Flores said his office is working with local leaders to address the possible relocation of the children to the area.
These people are obviously using the weakest US Government since WWII. Since this is MY 2 BILLION tax dollars being used to deal with these ILLEGAL ALIENS, I vote (silly me, I don’t get a vote, nor was I even asked) to send them back without spending the hard working, tax paying citizens of the US’s money! I’m truly ashamed of our government and with the president having the lowest approval rate in history, I believe the majority of tax paying citizens would agree with me!
I agree build tent camps along the boarder and send them back. If Obama wants to spend 2 billion on them it should be toward transportation to thier home country.
When do we go protest? I’m ready!!!
How about the feds relocate these illegal invaders back to the countries whence they came from.
Also, them continually being referred to as “children” is a false narrative as a great deal of them are males between ages 14-18, many being members of gangs and drug cartels.
This is nothing more than an illegal invasion that no other country would stand for.
