INCREASING ENROLLMENT IN BLINN ONLINE COURSES

Blinn College’s online program continues to grow in enrollment.

Out of the 6,176 students registered in the Summer I semester in Blinn College District, over half are enrolled online, at 3,288 students.  This represents a 16 percent increase over the amount of students enrolled online last Summer I.

To accommodate growing demand, Blinn has expanded its course offerings, with over 180 course sections available online.  Students are able to earn 22 awards and degrees entirely online.

Vice Chancellor for Instruction Dr. Crystal Lee says students are opting out of travelling to campus because they appreciate the flexibility of online classes.

Registration is now open for Blinn’s Summer II semester, which begins Thursday, July 5, as well as the Fall semester, which begins Monday, August 27. Registration for each semester is available until the first day of class.
