INFANT SKULL DISCOVERED BY LANDSCAPING CREWS IN LA GRANGE

A landscaping crew pulling weeds a week and a half ago came across a small skull on Jefferson Street in LaGrange, and appears to be that of a newborn child.

Medical examiners believe that it has been in the field for approximately 12 to 18 months.

Police say that have not found any skeletal remains, and the Search and Rescue Team members that searched last Sunday for clue, have been unable to find any other remains.

There has been no cause of death established, and LaGrange Police say they have no reports of missing infant cases.

The medical examiner in Austin is in possession of the skull, and will attempt to try and figure out the age, gender, and ethnicity, and then the skull will be transferred to a couple of different universities to test for DNA, according to Police, and will eventually end up at the Texas Department of Public Safety as a missing and exploited children case.

  1. This is very interesting. I know that things like this have to happen all of the time but that the evidence is rarely found, especially concluding that the remains are not all that old. I would very much like to hear more about the investigation into this and subsequent findings.
