JACOBS ACCEPTS POLICE CHIEF’S POSITION IN WEIMAR
A long-time Brenham Police officer is leaving to become a chief of police in Colorado County.
Brenham Police Sergeant of Investigations, Todd Jacobs has announced he’s leaving the Brenham force after 25 years, to take over as Chief of Police for the City of Weimar.
In a letter issued by Jacobs, he says he’ll be taking over as the chief in Weimar, October 5th.
Jacobs says that while it is going to be difficult to leave the Brenham Police Department family and the rest of his friends and extended family, he’s looking forward to starting the next chapter of his law enforcement career.
Over the last 25 years, Jacobs has worked in every department within the Brenham Police Department.
Weimar Chief Bill Livingston announced his retirement, earlier this year.
Jacob’s last day as a Brenham police officer will be October 2nd.
