JANUARY BUILDING PERMITS TOTAL OVER $2-MILLION
A one-and-a-half million dollar addition at a local church led the building permits for January.
In all, 22 permits were issued in Brenham, totaling $2,045,536.
The largest permit was for an addition to Grace Community Fellowship, AT 107 South Saeger St., valued at $1,500,000.
Five new residences were permitted at a total of $444,120. Those new residences are located at: 2200 Rindle Court; 1846 Basin Trail; 2013 Arable Court; 2011 Arable Court; and 1917 Maize Court.
The permits in January were up from December’s total of $1,356,550 for 29 permits issued.
In January of last year, 27 permits were issued for a total of $4,725,697. That included the permit for the new Senior Center for $3,168, 985.
