JOBLESS RATE IN WASHINGTON COUNTY DROPS IN FEBRUARY
The jobless rate for Washington County dropped in February.
According to the Texas Workforce Commission, February’s unemployment rate was at 4.8% with 733 people without jobs; the lowest jobless rate since May of 2015 at 3.9%.
The February 2015 jobless rate was 3.9% in Washington County with 612 unemployed.
TWC Chairman, Andres Alcantar says there were 170,900 jobs added in Texas during this last year.
