JP 1 DOUG ZWIENER RUNNING FOR REELECTION

  

The candidates for next year’s election are continuing to announce their election plans.

Precinct One Justice of the Peace Doug Zwiener announced Friday he was running for another term.

Zwiener released a statement saying he wants to continue his service to the citizens of Washington County.

Zwiener has lived in the Independence Community for almost 30 years and is married to Elizabeth Zwiener.  He is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a graduate of the Law Enforcement Academy at Texas A&M.  He also holds numerous advanced proficiency certificates from Texas State University and the Mass Fatality Institute at Kingwood College. Judge Zwiener is also a public volunteer service for the past 22 years with the Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department where he holds the positions of Assistant Fire Chief and Past President of the Washington County Fire Fighters Association.

Zwiener is running for reelection in the Republican Primary in March.
