KWHI SCHEDULES 2018 CANDIDATE FORUMS

  

KWHI Radio has scheduled a pair of “Candidate Forums” for the Primary election set for March 6th.

All of the candidates running for District 13 State Representative, five Republicans and one Democrat, will attend a forum on Wednesday, January 31st at 5:30 p.m. at Brenham National Bank.  Expected to be in attendance are Republican candidates David K. Stall of Fayette County, Daniel McCarthy of Washington County, Ben Leman of Grimes County, and Jill Wolfskill and Marc. S. Young of Austin County.  Democrat Cecil Webster of Fayette County, who does not have an opponent in the Primary, will also attend.  KWHI will broadcast the January 31st Forum live on AM 1280, kwhi.com, and on Suddenlink cable channel 20.  Questions for the candidates will be taken from those in attendance, from listeners’ emails, and from the news media.

On Wednesday, February 7th, KWHI will host a forum for all of the candidates in contested Washington County races.  All eight Republican candidates have been invited, including County Judge John Brieden and challenger John Durrenberger;  County Court at Law Judge Eric Berg and challenger Robbie Gail Charette; Precinct 2 County Commissioner Luther

Hueske and challenger Candace Bullock; and Precinct 4 Constable candidates Greg Rolling and H. C. “Buddy” Riddle.  The February 7th forum will also begin at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby of Brenham National Bank.

On the day of each forum, KWHI will be accepting questions for the candidates by email at mail@kwhi.com.
