LA GRANGE MAN RECEIVES FOUR LIFE SENTENCES

A La Grange man has been given four life sentences in connection with a baby’s skull that was found in a field on Jefferson Street in La Grange in January of 2015.

The skull, found by a construction crew, was said to be that of a stillborn baby delivered at home by a victim of sexual assault.

The trial concluded with the 63-year-old La Grange man being sentenced to four consecutive life sentences. He pled guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of sexual assault by a family member.

DNA evidence taken from the skull proved that the 63-year-old was the father. Testimony later revealed that the victim placed the stillborn baby in a field. The name of the victim and the convicted man have been withheld to protect the identities of the innocent.
