  1. Congratulations to the Burton Track teams for a great couple of days in Austin. The girls really came out taking two relays and setting new records. They also shared in the state title! Imagine the kind of things that could be done if Burton athletes and community had a track and track equipment.

In recent years the boy’s teams set records in a relay and came in runner up at the state meet. We have a girl and a boy win state titles in hurdles, and Burton has no hurdles or starter blocks. Our coaches and athletes do a great job competing under those circumstances.

A track would be of benefit to the community as well. It would provide a place for people to walk in a safe, secure environment.

Congratulations to the girls for the effort and discipline it took to get this title.

    1. The proud mom of Kyeanna kincade.
Ours girls worked hard and it paid off. Yes it would help out a lot if Burton isd would build a track and field for our kids. Going to Somerville is okay but a lot of times its impossible to get everybody together. Thank you for acknowledging our track teams
