LANE CLOSURES ON HWY-36

  

Beginning today (Tuesday), the Texas Department of Transportation’s contractor will begin intermittent lane closures on SH 36 between US 290 West and BS 36 in Brenham.

These lane closures will occur over the next month while the contractor places large box culverts across SH 36.

Motorists who travel this area should expect minor delays.  TxDOT would like to remind everyone to obey all warning signs, watch for workers and equipment, buckle up and drive safely.

This culvert work is part of a $14.3-million project to widen SH 36 to a four lane divided highway between US 290 West and BS 36 in Brenham.  This project is contracted to Angel Brothers Holding Corp. out of Baytown, Texas and is expected to be complete by Spring 2018.
