LAST DAY TO FILE APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOOL BOARD, CITY COUNCIL ELECTIONS

Today (Friday) is last day to file applications for local city council and school board elections.

There are still no contested races in the Brenham School Board, Blinn Board of Trustees, or City Council elections.

The seats up for election on the Brenham School Board include: Position Five- currently held by Tommie Sullivan, Position Six- held by Natalie Lange, and Position Seven- held by Melvin Ehlert. All three incumbents have filed for re-election.

Precincts Two and Three and At-Large Position One are up for election on the Blinn College Board of Trustees. Douglas Borchardt has filed for re-election to Precinct Two, Teddy Boehm has filed for re-election to Precinct Three, and Charles Moser has filed for re-election to the Position One-At Large seat.

Two Brenham City Council members have filed for re-election: Ward-One Brenham City Councilman Keith Herring and Ward-Three Councilman Andrew Ebel.

Susan Cantey has filed for Position Six-At Large seat. The position is currently held by Gloria Nix, who has said she will not file for reelection.

Former council member Charlie Pyle has filed for Position Five-At Large. The position is currently held by Mary Barnes-Tilley, who announced earlier this week that she will not seek re-election.
