  1. Dont come back yet. Flooding expected in areas of LJ that officials originally thought would be ok.

  2. Is Highway 290 open from Austin to Houston? Also, what is the condition of I45 from Houston to Galveston> Thanks.

  3. I am staying in a hotel in a Waco and want to get back to my house in Lake Jackson. I know Lake Jackson Held up pretty well. Is there a route that i can take to get back? There are so many road closures and I am
Not from this area that a I can’t figure out if I can get back yet. Thanks

  4. I need a route that I can take from Covington, LA to get to two areas on the north side of Houston…I need to get to Kingwood, Texas and then also to Spring, Texas…I know that many roads are closed and I know I may not be able to get in right away but as soon as possible I need an alternate route to these two locations and I am coming from Louisiana (almost to Mississippi—I am at the toe of the “boot” ) Please advise what is my best options.

  5. Is there any roads to travel to get to orange from corpus Christi? My husband’s trying to get home from down there.

  6. That is what concrete will do. Adopt a greener approach when you make repairs, please, which will absorb more water and help with run off. Say NO to comcrete!

    1. I am a fan of green too! However, 3:1 slopes is max before it is a constant maintenance repair for eroded ground slopes; grass can’t grow, and just washes away. That would present a whole new set of issues. Slope pavement was the only way this time.
