LCRA AWARDING GRANTS THURSDAY
Two area organizations – including one local fire department – have been chosen to receive LCRA community grants, Thursday.
The LCRA and Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative will present a $10,342 grant to the Prairie Hill-Rocky Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
The grant will be used to buy two backup emergency power generators and a portable light.
The LCRA and the city of Giddings will present a $48,000 grant to Friends of the Depot in Giddings.
LCRA representatives will present the Community Development Partnership Program (CDPP) grant to continue renovations at the theatre.
