LCRA: COLORADO RIVER CRESTING IN BASTROP
According to the Lower Colorado River Authority, the Colorado River in Bastrop has crested above flood stage.
At 8:10 a.m., the river was at 23.14 feet, slightly above flood stage at 23 feet, the LCRA said.
In Smithville, the river has remained in flood stage since 5:25 a.m. and continues to rise. In La Grange, the river was 7 feet above flood levels, the LCRA said.
A flood alert has also been issued for Bastrop Acres and Bastrop Shores and authorities had called for residents to evacuate.
