LCRA GETS PLATINUM AWARD FROM COMPTROLLER’S OFFICE

  

The State Comptroller’s office has awarded the Lower Colorado River Authority with the highest level of recognition for financial transparency, becoming the first river authority to achieve the new platinum level certification.

With the platinum award, the LCRA joins a group of fewer than 170 organizations that have achieved the agency’s highest level of certification.

LCRA Board Chair Timothy Timmerman said “The LCRA Board of Directors is very pleased that for the fifth year in a row, the Comptroller has recognized the LCRA for its diligence in operating in a financially transparent manner.

Leading up to the platinum recognition, LCRA received gold certifications in the Leadership Circle for four consecutive years.
