LIFETIME LEARNING ANNOUNCES SPRING SCHEDULE OF LECTURES

  

Lifetime Learning has announced their spring schedule of lectures, which begins with an event later this month.

On January 27th, author John Hubner will discuss his book Last Chance in Texas. Hubner was given unprecedented access to the Giddings State School, and through his writing set out to discover the secrets behind the one of the most successful treatment programs for violent young offenders in America.

Hubner’s lecture will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Janis Sneed Banquet Room. The registration fee is $25 and includes lunch. The deadline for registration is January 20th.

Other upcoming lectures this year for Lifetime Learning include:

  • Fernando Casas presenting “Why are the Paintings of Vincent Van Gogh So Moving?” from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on February 5th and February 12th.
  • Bill Gilmer presenting the “Economic Outlook for Houston and the Texas Gulf Coast” on February 24th.
  • Jason Jennings, president of Baylor Scott & White Hospital’s College Station division, presenting “Healthcare Today” on March 31st.
