LIFETIME LEARNING TO PRESENT ‘MEMOIR WRITING’ PROGRAM

  

Brenham’s Lifetime Learning is sponsoring a 3-day Memoir Writing Class, set for June at the Blinn Student Center.

The instructor for the course, June 15, 16 and 17, is Ron Rozelle, an accomplished author of 10 books and a 2007 inductee to the Texas Institute of Letters.

The instruction will begin with a summary of general storytelling techniques and approaches, followed by ways to do the necessary research and planning.  A first draft of the memoir will be completed before the course’s end.  Additional information on publishing and examples of finely crafted memoirs will also be provided.

Rozelle has taught writing workshops at numerous conferences and universities.  A graduate of Sam Houston University, he was named the 2017 SHSU Distinguished Educator of the Year, the highest honor given by the College of Education at his alma mater.
