LLOYD SAUNDERS COOK-OFF WINNERS ANNOUNCED

  

A large crowd gathered at the Washington County Fairgrounds this weekend for the 7th Annual Lloyd Saunders Memorial Cook-off.

There were four different cooking contests held during the event.

The winner of the blood mary competition was the Wild West Cookers. Fish & Chips won the margarita contest. The winner of the chili and beans contest was Mary Jo.

All Sauced Up won the hospitality award. Hot & Sweet won the Chef’s Choice competition with a Spam Egg Roll.

While the total amount of money raised has not been finalized, all the funds will go to the Lloyd Saunders Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarship was founded in 2008 in honor of Saunders, who was an avid supporter of the youth in Washington County and a very active participant in the Washington County Fair Calf Scramble Program for more than 20 years.
