LOCAL CHURCHES TO PRAY FOR JOBLESS

A number of local churches will be doing their part next Sunday to help those looking for a job.

The Washington County Ministerial Association will be hosting a Day of Prayer at over thirty churches on Sunday, June 7.

Reverend Randy Wells of the association is encouraging all citizens to worship at the church of their choice during a moment in the Sunday service to pray for displaced workers.

Layoffs have been announced recently for Blue Bell Creamery, MIC, Stan PAC, and Valmont.

  1. Yeah we need to pray for our nation also! Everyday should be a day of prayer to God Almighty! Lots of people have been affected by jobs and floods! Oh to turn back to God as a nation! America needs to bless God for God to bless America! The vicious attacks on freedom of religion are killing this nation! On June 7th and everyday let’s pray to Jesus Christ and worship God for all He has done for us sinners!!!

  2. With the hundreds and hundreds of lost jobs in the past 2 months I feel as though this town is heading towards dark times. As such i will give blood to the blood God’s and pray for the souls of those who are suffering during this time of turmoil.

    1. We’re likely in a correction time after so much expansion. That is normal, but yea we need to pray for our friends and family as well as our nation.
