MISSING WOMAN FOUND SAFE AND SOUND

A local family says an 18-year-old woman who was reported missing out of the Bryan/College Station area has been found.

According to the Rocky Creek Fire Department’s Facebook page, Paige Blackwell has been found "alive and well".

Her family said earlier that they had tracked her cell phone to a dumpster, and she had last been seen around 5 p.m. Saturday.

The family  filed a missing person report in both Bryan and College Station.

An update Tuesday afternoon on the Rocky Creek Fire Department's Facebook page says Blackwell "has been found alive and OK.  No further details at this time."

  1. Folks…. Just because we were told about her being missing and asked for help finding her doesn’t mean we need to know all the details behind the reason of her going missing and being found. Point is she was found alive and okay. I am sure the family is thankful for her return and for your concerns and prayers, but we don’t need to know all the details. If the family wishes to explain the outcome, it’s their choice. Not ours to ask. If we want to make America Great Again, then we don’t need to get into every single issue that is given to us by News Media, Facebook, Snap Chat, etc…. Help in the search if you can or pray for the family involved, if you can. Whatever the outcome maybe, lets just hope/pray it’s a good one, we don’t need to know every single detail. Unless you are in the jury box at a trial, you don’t need to know every single detail.

  2. Nobody deserves ANYTHING except for the thanks to those involved for helping the family in their search for their little girl. She is safe and sound and that’s all that matters.

    1. I am with you Chase. . we are expected to spend the word and pray for her safety (not that I would not anyway) but why do so many people just leave everyone hanging. there are countless hours and money spent to help find her and all we get is “she is found safe” don’t get me wrong I am glad she is ok and her parents are not having to tell her goodbye forever, but we need answers. A lot can come from knowing all the facts . . along with spreading the word to help find her, parents can also talk to their own about situation that lead up to something like this. . I pray I am never in this situation. . a parents worse nightmare. .

    2. Just wondering why you have it in your mind that you DESERVE to know what happened.
Thats the problem today, to many people think they are entitled to something that has nothing to do with them. Just be thankful that she was found and is safe.

      1. justwondering- you state “Thats the problem today, to many people think they are entitled to something that has nothing to do with them” then why ask for so many peoples help either with time, prayers or money spent to help find missing person if you don’t care to share what happen?? . .i would rather know it was a child in need of a good ole fashion whooping because she / he was mad at the parents for what ever reason or just used bad judgement at the time than to know there could be some sick person out there that could harm my child. . seems to me that “nothing to do with them” has lot to do with them when ones family is asking for help. . .

        1. You answered your own question.. you find it necessary to get something because you are asked for a simple prayer or spread the word..why not just find comfort in knowing that she is safe. But no, we have to know the juicy details so you can further judge and make other ridiculous statements. If you want to help someone…help without charge. Your choice…

  3. No Amber Alert because they are designated for 17 years to 2 years old. Missing person was filed because she is an adult (18 yrs old). They did go to the dumpster to recover the phone. The bing lead them to that area and got stronger by the dumpster. Glad this young lady was found alive.

  4. haven’t seen an amber alert . is there one in place? usually I get alerts on my phone but so far none. if there is not one.. why not?

    1. There are certain criteria that has to be met before an Amber Alert can be put into place. This situation has not met those criteria.

  5. I’m confused!! If the family tracked her phone to the dumpster, why did they not go dumpster diving to recover it?? Might of had some leads on her phone!!!
