LOCAL GRAND JURY INDICTS DALLAS-AREA MAN

A Dallas-area man has been indicted for a June theft in Washington County.

32-year old Dakari Kernard Blacklock of Lancaster was arrested for the June 16th theft at a local convenience store.  Blacklock reportedly walked into the store, assaulted a clerk, and made off with a large amount of cash from the ATM machine.

A Crimestoppers tip led authorities to Blacklock – who had been arrested in Dallas on an unrelated charge.

The 21st District Grand Jury also indicted 31-year old Isidro “Bo” Compean of Hempstead on a felony theft charge.

Compean is charged with theft between $20,000-and-$100,000.  He is accused of stealing over $25,000 worth of football equipment from the Brenham Youth Football League.

Compean had been responsible for getting 180 sets of helmets and shoulder pads reconditioned – but they were never delivered to the equipment supply company.

Also indicted by the Grand Jury was 36-year old Jason Dewayne Randle of Brenham.  He is charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

He was arrested back on August 4th.

Also indicted by the Grand Jury were:

29-year old Sheterika Shevette Graves of Brenham for Credit or Debit Card Abuse of the Elderly.

28-year old Cameron Felts of Brenham for Third Offense, Driving While Intoxicated.

29-year old Tamendreon Phillips of Chappell Hill for Theft of Less than $2,500 – With two previous convictions.

29-year old Judy Compean of Brenham for Credit or Debit Card Abuse.

Four people were indicted on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance: 24-year old Jony Alvarez-Benitez, of Brenham; 21-year old Pablo Lujano-Cervantes of Brenham; 46-year old Dawn Patricia Lucker of Willis and 46-year old Gerald Watson Jr. of Killeen.

Also, 31-year old Stephanie Applegate of Brenham was indicted back on Setptember 27th and was recently arrested,  Applegate is charged with Theft between $20,000-and-$100,000.
