LOCAL GROUP DRILLS WATER WELL IN HONDURAS

A team of 12 people from Center Church in Brenham traveled to Honduras last week to drill a water well.  The group was working with Living Water International, an organization that drills water wells in impoverished areas around the world.  The original plan was to drill a water well in the courtyard of a school in the town of Olanchito.  Multiple problems were encountered as the team made three attempts in three days for a well there.  Center Church pastor and team member Kyle Ogle explains:

With only one day left to drill, the team decided to relocate to a small village about 20 minutes away that was in need of a well.  The noisy drilling rig and all the activity drew the attention of the villagers.  Ogle explains:

After a long day of drilling, the team was able to make a water well for the village.  The pump was installed the next day on a concrete pad that the village men had constructed.  A metal plaque was installed dedicating the well in the memory of Teresa Glasco.  Ogle explains:

The church has already made plans to return to Honduras next summer to drill another well.

  1. What an awesome and generous action this group of people performed. You all showed your kindness, generosity, love for these impoverished people and you strong faith in God. Thank you for what you did and may God bless you, your families and your church family abundantly.

  2. God Bless you giving folks for your time, effort and money to bring joy and convenience to those people. I see so many times on television, that there are people all over the world who still do not know the joy of a drink of cool, clean water. We take it for granted, because it’s at our fingertips when needed. The smile on those precious, beautiful children’s faces, is worth every second of time that you donated to the cause. Hopefully it brightens their faith in mankind. May our Lord grant you and your church, blessings in abundance for your sacrifice to light up the world for this small group of people. The last picture on this video, says it all.
