LOCAL JAIL INMATE SENTENCED FOR PART IN JAIL UPRISING
A Brenham man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for his part in a prisoner uprising earlier this year at the Washington County Jail.
30-year old Kevin Wayne Ealey pleaded guilty, Tuesday, to Riot Participation. Ealey was one of twelve Washington County Jail inmates who created a disturbance when they protested jail conditions by rushing a guard and triggering a fire alarm.
Ealey was sentenced to 20 years in prison on the Second Degree Felony.
Ealey was also sentenced on a trio of drug charges. He was sentenced to 20 years on each of three counts: two for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
All sentences will run concurrently.

What information was wrong? The article says nothing about a school zone. It says he pled guilty and took a plea deal.
If he was targeted “because of who he is in Washington county” maybe it’s because who he is, is a drug dealer. A drug dealer who went to prison for robbing the taco shop instead of taking advantage of the chance to rise above and get an education while playing football. A drug dealer who got a second chance for that robbery and went to prison for… SELLING DRUGS. Did he learn? No. Here he is again SELLING DRUGS.

As of 6:35pm, 15 Dec., the article says nothing about a plea deal, either. As for the rest of the information, well… like a lot of stuff in the world today, none of it makes much sense, and it’s all sad.
It says he pled guilty and doesn’t mention a hearing. Usually if the sentence came from the judge or jury, KWHI puts that in there like the lady on the DWI from yesterday’s article.
Sad, and tragic, indeed.
Even though he probably won’t serve the full 20 Years (which he should), it is a great thing this guy is off the streets of Brenham.

Just a wasted of his talented abilities to really be something and make a difference but he picked the bed so lay in until…
Y’all can defend him until the end of time but too many chances already so just keep his books full and visit or except the collect calls if you wanna talk but most of all this young adult needs lots of prayers!
