LOCAL MAN ARRESTED ON NEW MEXICO/ALABAMA WARRANTS

  

A Washington County man remains in custody facing extradition to two states on outstanding felony arrest warrants.

Last week, the City of Capitan Police Department, in New Mexico, contacted Sheriff Otto Hanak and requested assistance in locating 29 -year old Tristan Michael Hyde of Chappell Hill.

Hyde was wanted on a felony charge of Fraud, over $2,500.00 less than $20,000.00.

Sergeant Clay Bosse learned Hyde was also wanted in the State of Alabama where he was charged with felony Theft by Deception.

Friday, Bosse met with Hyde at the Washington County Sheriff's Office where he was arrested.

New Mexico has set a cash bond on Hyde for $100,000.00 while Alabama has set his bond at $10,000.00.

Hyde remains in the Washington County jail.
